far tomany people take a new dog from a rescue centre ar confined space straight to another confined space leaving the dog still excited hyper and confussed this creats stress there for the dog wont eat it destroys the house jumps allove the funature ect. ect.
in my experience if you do give a dog a home from a recue or kennel enviroment i would take him for an hour and a half to two hour walk to tire it out and to get to know the dog a creat a bond between you then the dog is more relaxed around you and family members if they came with you which i advise they do and the dog is calmer and has releved them selves then when you get home with your new dog offer some refreshing cool water as this is a positive asotiation with your home introduce your dog to its new surroundings slowly as not to over stress him out and make sure every one knows what the dog is allowen to do and not do, keep it black and white so if the dog is not allowed up stairs or on the setee then dont allow it full stop as the dog will get confussed the dog will be tired and just want to rest and there for again will asosiate his new home with safety,
hope this helps new owners, if there is any other views on this subject i would like to hear them.
thank you.
