Zeus's NewsWednesday 27 May....
Walkies today with Lola (one of my girlfriends). It was such a nice day and we were really happy walking along side by side. I'm really friendly with everyone and enjoy looking out for even bigger sticks. One day I'm hoping to pick up a whole tree!
I've heard about a good day out in a couple of weeks at Jollyes in Blyth and I'm looking forward to going. I made so many friends at the last day out and hoped someone would like me enough to take me home - maybe this time?

Uncle Stephen took me to the vets on Friday and then we spent some time together. I was good for the vet and he was very nice to me....I got some tablets to take for my skin he says I might be Al Lergic .......but I thought I was called Zeus....humans!!?.
I had lots of cuddles and a nice walk. The next day I got to go on another walk....I would love to run around and have a nice new home to live in.

Me, Becky and those two Stephen's went for a walk today. It was red hot, I enjoyed rolling in the grass, and me and Becky got on great.

Zeus really enjoyed his walk today and showed what a nice natured boy his is, just wanting to have a bit of a fuss, roll around in the grass and have a good time.
The time I spent with him last week showed how well he would do in the right home environment given the chance.
Hopefully that will happen for him - he deserves it

Stephen took me for a walk today, but it was so hot! He was trying to take picures muttering somthing about website and photos and snow. Anyway I just ignored him and rolled in the grass.

I had a trip to the beach today with the rest of the A1 Gang, and we all had so much fun on the sand and in the water. It was such a hot day, it was really good to cool off in the sea. I wanted to go shark fishing, but I think seeing Uncle Stephen in his shorts must have scared them all away.

Zeus u special little boy, my smile was as big as yours this weekend when u found a new family, who already adore u !
I only met u a month ago, but we went to the beach together in my big car remember? U were so excited and couldnt sit still waiting to go, even offering to drive at one point in ur impatience, lol. But u sat like a perfect gent in quiet anticipation as soon as we set off, all the way to the beach, head out the open window sniffing the new smells every time we slowed down, and were so excited when we got to the beach. U absolutely loved swimming and playing on the beach with all ur friends, u had such a great time and u were very quiet on the way back to the kennels, i know u so desperately wanted a home to go back to and a family, now u have it little big man, and u so deserve it, good luck and be happy zeus, it was a pleasure to know u, you'll be missed, xx

Well my gorgeous boy I had the pleasure of your new dad coming in today and buying you lots of new presents!! He is so excited to have you. I am gonna miss you so much but your dad promised to bring you to see me at Jollyes to get my licks off you whenever he can!! What a busy weekend I've had. Rides in the car, dogs everywhere and some really nice people to say hello to. Then just when I got back to my kennel, off I go again! This time to somewhere new and it's those nice people again, and they've got a garden, with toys and a bone for me and a big comfy bed.
I'm going to like it here

Zeus you are one of our biggest success stories. Not getting you a home, you always deserved that, but in re educating experienced dog people to a breed that is at an all time low.
Thank you for teaching us. Even Johnnie will miss you. x

It was just such a privilege to take lovely Zeus to his new family today. He looked at home straight off. I surprised myself by not shedding a tear.....but seeing those pictures....I think there's something in my eye!! xxx

Hiya gang... well, what a day its been .... My new home and new toys are great, and the garden is wearing me out already - its so big. Been for lovely walks with dad today, and my new brother Cal.. even went to meet mam from work- she looked so pleased to see me.
Rolled in so much grass and muck today that I really needed a bath - didnt like it much, so had a huffy head on with dad for a while - That'll teach him !!! But got some treats for being so good and not drenching anyone, so might just be worth it. ha ha
Lying on floor watching tv now, got a big squishy bed AND a blanket. Every now and again I keep leaving a slightly unpleasant smell ... its so funny when mam and dad try to get away from me quickly....
Tired out now, might just have a snooze.... night gang, will let you know what fun things I get up to tomorrow.

Well, here I am in my new home - can't believe I've been here 4 days now. Getting lots of hugs and meeting lots of new people.
Been for loads of nice walks, but dad won't let me bring home any of the "little twigs" I find ...... I don't know why - they're not THAT big!
Had a great game of tug of war - as you can see from the pics, I won! In fact, mam had to sit down....

I know that all of us at SHAK are delighted that Zeus has found a lovely home! I certainly have a soft spot in my heart for him. Of all the dogs we have he was the one that I most wanted to get a home quickly....I just know he'll thrive with you all.

Not feeling too great today guys... got a bit of a bad tummy.
Mam and Dad were so worried about me this morning and rang Steven, who arranged for me to go to the vet. Perked up a bit in the car on the way over, and showing the Siamese cat in the waiting room exactly who was the boss!!! But then the lady had to give me 2 needles to help me stop being sick. Stung a little bit, but was getting lots of cuddles for standing so still. Got some tablets to take, so hope to feel better in a few days.
They've took my food away, but mam has promised me some rice in the morning if I'm a bit better, so am going to get lots of rest today and show them I'm okay tomorrow.
After the vets we went to Jollyes, and I got a lovely tag for my collar with my name on. Tanya wasn't there... but got attention of everyone else. Think we're going back next week to see her.. Miss giving her kisses!
There's a HUGE log in the garden for me today, so can't wait to feel better so I can have a chow on it!

Hi everyone, Just thought I would let you all know I saw Zeus today for the first time since he went to his new home! He is looking absolutely fantastic!!!! His coat looks amazing and he is starting to fill out so as you can imagine I was absolutely over the moon. I really miss this guy but I can tell he is really loved in his new home and he is so happy. I actually cant wait till he comes on his hols to the farm so I can get more licks and cuddles!!! Take care Zeus and keep in touch xx

 Hi everyone - Yes, we went to see Tanja today and I got loads of cuddles and kisses... and new toys again. Love going there !!! Went for really long walks this week, and even went for a swim in a big pond yesterday.. great fun !
Mam is really happy today - she just found out its my birthday on Wednesday - I'll be 4. Its the same day as my new big brother Callum, but he's on holiday with his friend so mam says at least one of her birthday boys will be home.
Not long till my holidays, just 3 weeks and then I'll see you all.

Well he's really shown his true colours today !!!!!
Took him for a walk to the field where he completely DEMOLISHED a huge stick we collected for him... Then promptly ran to the nearest patch of mud and ROLLED IN IT !!!
Wasn't keen on the outdoor bath he got though, so don't think he'll be doing it again! ha ha
Still love him loads though - despite his inbuilt muck magnet !

Hi Gang - Am on my holidays at the farm.... Mam, dad and callum are away for a few days so I've come here for a bit of a rest (all that walking is wearing me out!) But I have to say it was a bit sad seeing them head home without me, and mam and dad both had little tears in their eyes... but at least they'll be able to actually get into bed tonight - ha ha - without me lying diagonally across them ! Hope they have a good time, cant't wait to see them on Thursday.
Hope I see you guys too.... Will keep everyone updated on my week here.

Went to Cramlington on Saturday to see Steven and everyone else - was dead chuffed that everyone remembered me and loved the cuddles and free treats I got. Can't wait to see them all again next time.
Mam and Dad took me for a long walk today and we went to Jesmond Dene. Had a great time splodging in the river. Heard them chatting about going to the beach tomorrow if its not raining.
Mam got some pics of me while we were out, so I'll ask her to put them on here for you all to see.
