Sam's StoriesThursday 28 May....
I've had a really busy day. First Auntie Sharon came to do some Reiki with me - it's so relaxing. I just lay down and gave my paw straight away. Then Uncle Stephen took me to the vet to have my leg checked out - it's been a bit sore for a few days but a bit better now. I jumped straight into the car and sat quietly until we got to the vet and was very well behaved while I was there - even when I was being examined. Oliver had told me about listening to Morrissey in the car but I had the Red Hot Chilli Peppers - much better!
When we got back to the farm, I went for a quiet lie down on my comfy bed in the office to wait for my tea - it's a hard life!

So proud of you Sam. When you first arrived you nearly knocked my jeep three streets down from jumping and going crazy at people whilst in the back of the car!
And you like the vets? Well, do me a favour, let Keiser know that the vets are there to help you! ha ha.
See you Saturday bud, bringing you some more tripe. Yum!

Saturday 30 May....
Another brilliant walk with my friends Oliver, Ginnie and whats-his-name (there were so many ideas for names being suggested along the way) He seems really nice and I'm sure that I'll get along with Kai when he settles in to life at the farm.

Just a quick note, because I've had a bit of a strange day. Two men came to see me today, and after playing on my run for a little while, they took me for a walk. We had great fun walking down the drive, I was jumping up trying to play with the toy they had.
They said they might come back and take me out for the day on Friday. I hope so. I liked them.

Those two men turned back up today, and took me and that cute Ginnie for a day out. We had great fun, I got to run around a lot, and in a big building too. Ginnie went back to the farm, but then I went to another building. It had a tennis court and can you believe I met another two dogs! We were even allowed to play together off lead, and although the little spaniel shouted at me we got on great!
I really enjoyed it, think I'm doing it again tomorrow

Hello people, sorry I haven't been on here for a while, but I've been really busy.
Whilst everyone else was at some silly dog show, I had serious work to do. Now I know when I came to the farm I didn't really like other dogs, but all the people at SHAK and the people on the farm have trie to show me that other dogs can be fun.
Well my new friends took me on an adventure weekend, and I made some new friends too!
Here's my holiday photo's, I had such a great time. I hope they like me enough to take me back!

Those men in black haven't been back....but I don't mind really. I enjoy my life on the farm. All my SHAK friends tell me I have a most handsome face and I love to spend time with them having cuddles and getting treats! We had a walk on Saturday and it was raining hard....some naughty little dogs ran at me and the others we all looked at them like they were nuts!!! Well they were......... I mean have you seen the size of me and my mates!!!!

Ha ha exactley Sam, I think they sell traps for those kind of dogs/rats. lol.
Only kidding son. I was so proud of you when they ran at us. 6 weeks ago you would of torn someones arm of to get at them.
You deserve the right home now fella.

It was good to spend a little time with Stephen today, he was the first person from SHAK I met, but he has been so busy with all the new arrivals.
We went in the field, and when he let me off the lead, Jackie turn on the hose pipe. It was great fun on such a hot day.

Today was great. Stephen took me out for a walk, and we met these people who seemed to really like me. I think it was arranged, but after a sniff I really liked them too. We played a bit, then I went to lie down in the farm house. Then the people came back, and they had bought me a new bed and toys and food.
We then went to their house, they are really kind. They said I could use their bath, which I really enjoyed because I love water. Then they rubbed "olive oil" onto my coat to make it nice and shiny, it was nice to get pampered.
I miss all my friends at the farm, especially my old foster Mam and Dad, but I really think I am going to like it here.
Got to go, Dad wants to brush me again.

big samHi all , sorry it has been so long since I have contacted you all , but I have had some serios health problems lately. All is well with me and Sam is doing fantastic , he is putting on loads of wieght and is really happy and settled, infact tonight he went for his normal walk and was off the lead all the way , for those who know Sam and his previous problems you understand what a huge achievement this was. Sam loves porridge for breakfast and has benefited as it helps him to gain weight. He is lying at my feet as I am writing with his paws in the air and snoring quite happily. I will try to get down to the farm soon and let him meet and greet all those that he loves for helping him get another chance. I will also get some photos on soon. Steve you can pop round to the house anytime you like to see him I think you will get a nice surprise when you see BIG SAM

Sounds like he is doing fantastic bud. And yes that is a MASSIVE achievement. Well done to YOU and Sam. Be great to see you all, but we're not at the farm anymore. I managed to get my own kennels to base SHAK from up near Alnwick. It means we now have an enormous 31 kennels to fill. Be great to see you up there.
