Oliver's TailsWednesday 20th May....
I had a trip to the beach today with Uncle Stephen, Auntie Sharon and my new friend Ginnie. I was a little bit nervous about climbing into the car, but didn't mind being picked up and lifted in. I was really well behaved in the car, and Uncle Stephen even let me listen to his Morrissey CD on the way. When we got to the beach I jumped out of the car on my lead and went off down the path. We passed some other dogs and people on the way, and that didn't bother me at all. When we got on to the beach, I had a good rough play with Ginnie, and then went for a look at the sea. I wasn't quite brave enough to go in, but maybe next time. There were some other dogs on the beach, but I was having too much fun to be bothered by them, especially when Auntie Sharon had some cheese treats for me and Ginnie to share. After a sit down to watch some more people and dogs go by, it was time to go back in the car for more Morrissey, and home to the farm for tea and a good rest.

Surely your too young to remember The Smiths Ollie?!
I'm pleased your enjoying being a SHAK dog, and beginning to enjoy life as a dog with "no pressure." Sure someone will give you that "Forever Home" soon.

Have you been back to the beach yet Oliver and, if so, were you brave enough to go for a paddle?

Happy wags to my friends!! Today I had a suprise walk with Aunty Sharon along the riverside. It was very hot and we chilled out together in the grass for a while. Aunty Sharon says I've got an excellent sense of smell.... really love to find things in the grass....but why don't our two legged pals love fox poop!!?? I'm going to the big event at Jollye's this weekend....I hope to find a lovely family who'll take me out for lots of fun and who'll spend time with me learning to track and perhaps do agility which sounds brilliant fun....I can't wait!!! Are you my new forever family???

What a StarThe poo patroler took me to Jolley's on Saturday met lot's of people and a lovely Husky pup, we both got rossette's and treats, mind the red one would have looked better on my collar than the blue one I took home but there's always next year, the poo patroler wouldn't let me play with my rossette so I'm off to find the cat,
Bye for now, things to do

I had a nice Friday night as that man with the chav pants turned up with this clicky thing....anyway I liked it cos when it clicked I got chicken.....all I had to do was sit....easy peasy!!
He was mentioning something about being trained as a sniffer dog? I hope so cos I like chicken a lot and my nose is very good!!
Didnt like his spaniel much as it growled at me

That strange man gets everywhere with his clicky thing! He is very good at what he does though and I am sure he has plenty to teach you!x

Yes I thought that too Shaz, he was really pleased with me when we were playing a game the other night and I think if i keep it up I might go home with him..........we will see
(On a serious note can anyone taking Oli out please not try and make him sit or try to train him to sit or use the "sit" cue. Its all part of his (possible) new job -ThanksGregg)

The man and his clicky thing turned up again and we played some nice games where I had to smell a £10 note and then sit, the man said I was reallly good at it until I tried to eat the £10........... i learned a few new words that even a dog would understand
Anyway the man stayed in my kennel for a while and when i didnt jump at him or mouth him he was really nice to me and didnt use those words again.
I learned a valuable lesson today........... dont eat money

Gregg
When you've trained Oliver to find £10 notes - he can come and live with me.
|
shaz
|
Trust you Chapman to get in first!! Oliver honey come and live with Aunty Sharon instead.....you can have 10% of every £10 you find....of course I'll have to keep it for you cos you've got no pockets!!!
You keep learning gorgeous boy.....someone out there's going to get a beautiful boy and a lifelong friend when they take you home xxx
|
Trustee No2
|
Stephen/Sharon - you can fight to re home him when he is trained however Stephen W tells me a fully trained dog starts at £200
|

|
Ha Ha, but you'll recoup that £200 in a day or two the way Gregg is training him.

Boy do I feel rough this afternoon! This morning I took my football for a trip in Aunty Sharon's car.....we went to a place called THE VET. I got a needle in my bum and a few hours later Aunty Sharon came and took me home again. My football was still in the car but I'm sure I had two other balls with me this morning!!
Off for a sleep and to look for them

I'm feeling tonnes better after feeling a little bit funny the other day. Stephen didn'y want to walk me too far because I've my "stitches" whatever they are, so we just went in the field. He let me off the lead which was great, because it meant I could sniff everywhere, and even run.
Stephen took some pictires of me, and he said I looked like my dad the Weimaraner in one, somthing about my ears flopping when I ran. Anyway, see for yourself.

Hello everyone, its the night before i find out if i have a new family, ive been waiting so long since the weekend!!
Then yesterday aunty sharon and aunty deborah came and took me out for a lovely walk with otto, one of the new fella's. It was a nice surprise and otto and i had a lovely time, he's nice, like all my friends at the farm really Then today aunty deb came and took me out for another walk, then after we went in the office and after i made sure it was clear for her to come in, i had a nice drink then played fetch with a ball ! I wasnt too sure about giving it back to her at first, but when i realised she WOULD actually throw it back for me if i did (and i got a treat!!) it seemed like the decent thing to do ! I've hidden one of them, the pink squeaky one, it took too long to stop squeaking before she'd throw it again, so i swapped dont think she noticed tho !!
I had to go back in my kennel tho as aunty deb wanted to take otto out too. She came back later to give me another treat and a kiss and cuddle goodbye, but i wish i had my own family to go home with and play ball with, i'd bring it back to them every time. Maybe tomorrow
Anyway, need to sleep now, tomorrows a new day

As you can see, Deborah had great fun playing hide and seek with Oliver in the Office, even if at times he played on just one leg.

He's such a show off! He learns so fast, and erm, i swear he's hidden the pink squeaky rugby ball, the last it was seen was in that pic under the desk !!!
We played in the field off the lead today, man he is so smart, came sraight back in i cant describe the way, he's so cheeky an playful and just brilliant ! The other day he brought the balls back for a treat, today for cuddles too! He's a beaut, i wish my becks would love him too, think i can bring her? let them fall in love, like max and lola???

Well everyone....our Olly went on home trial yesterday tea-time. Introductions to his new family went really well. He's lucky enough to be living with Joy, Jimmy, Jan and their two boys JJ the Husky and Harry the Springer Spaniel. What a great sight yesterday watching them run around playing with a ball nicely. Fingers crossed that continues and he's found his forever home!!! He's even living next door to Emma and Steve who also offered to home him......he's going to be well loved.
Be a good boy OLLY...xxxxx

Scratch that Oliver is now back with us, and looking for a new home.
Unfortunately things didn't quite work out in the home he was on trial in. We still need a special home for this young boy.

A little extra training and this super boy will make a perfect dog for someone! It's not your fault honey that you're back with us xx

I am also pleased to announce that after last weeks successful sleepover, Oliver has now gone out on home trial. Its incredible to think that Oliver is just approaching a year old, yet he has been let down by people so many times already. Please remember to give him a little mention in your prayers tonight, the human race owe him that at least.

Returned on Sunday.

I cried many tears for you on sunday oliver, its so unfair. I love you dearly little one, but i would have loved more not to have seen you back with us, but to be settled and happy in a forever home. I have no idea what u must be going through and how confused you must be, coming and going like a yo yo. I have no idea how anyone could take in a dog then give them up after working so hard with them, especially you, you are so full of energy and character, my Becky has her issues, but i would never give her up You look so well too, ur coat is lovely and you've gained weight, a home certainly suits you.
Your day will come, and we will find the perfect home for you baby boy, i know it, till then you will be loved and cared for with us, your forever family, SHAK and the rescue place.
See you again soon Ollie, xxxx
