Max's MemoirsWednesday 27 May....
Had a really nice walk today with the new girl Becky. We weren't too sure of each other at first in the kennels, but when we got out on our walk, it was a quick "hello", then off over the fields enjoying the sunshine with some treats on the way. I'm quite an independant dog and don't bother too much with the others, but I'm quite relaxed around them - these walks are so good for all of us!

Just wanted to say I had a smashing walk today. I'm really beginning to like Uncle Johnnie who seems to pick me every week!
I even like him so much I didn't bite him when he started ballet dancing at the fence and landed right on top of me. I don't know, humans! Always trying to be clever!

Woof...I've been having more walks with Uncle Johnnie...he says me and him are alike as we're both grumpy old men! Not sure about...... that he can speak for himself. I had a bit of a row with Zeus but soon forgot about that and had a nice walk.

Was really excited today when the two Stephen's turned up and took me and my old girlfriend Lola out together. It was great having her to myself, we have been through a lot together.

Max and Lola were so good together today - quite happy to say hello and have a bit of a play, then walk along together. Max is showing his nice nature on the walks - doesn't get too bothered by the others, and loves to sit for a treat

Well then, at last I was able to get some time with Lola alone today, although Stephen kept taking photographs, hope they aren't too embarrassing.
She's a little minx that Lola, she had me worn out, still as you can see by the pictures of me here, life as a SHAK dog isn't too bad.

A really exciting day today - a trip in Uncle Stephen's car with my friend Lola, then a walk along the beach and a paddle in the sea. We were all tired out when we got back to the kennels but had so much fun - hope we can do it again

Sorry I've been quiet for a little while, I've been so busy with my girlfriend Lola.
We have so much fun together, that I even had a bath! (thank you girls at A1)
I just really hope I find a new home with her, we really need to be together.

Aunty Sharon came yesterday ...I had a lovely wriggle in the grass again and then a nice walk. We think Aunty Sharon's a bit daft though!

Another walk today with Aunty Sharon and Lola. I love Lola she's such fun! I think I like Aunty Sharon a bit too.....I let her tickle my neck and ears and I plucked up the courage to give her a little kiss  Well Lola does it so I thought I would try....it wasn't bad at all and seemed to please Aunty Sharon!

Big weekend for Max. as he was making his debut SHAK Road show appearance. He brought his girlfriend along, Lola , although he was flirting with Addy. Max has come so far, I just really hope we can find a place for him and Lola together. Seeing how he has responded to her, and the fact we actually believed he could do this weekend says it all. Everyone is proud of you Max, time to step up your re homing plan.

Hi all
this Band Bs not bad - food good, weather crap! bed is comfortable but i am used to en suite toilet and these people dont like me doing it in my room!! so I sleep in the outdoor kennel at night now with Jack but come indoors with the humans during the day! Tess and I went for a nice walk this morning but not to the beach this time - the scenery is great and there are woods nearby for walking. Have a bit of diahorrea still but its this foreign food !! bit rich for me I think but I will get used to it!
Jack is friendly with me but can be a bit ott - Tess blows hot and cold - shes great for walking out with but keeps growling at me in the house - a bit jealous me thinks.
I've quite taken to this human called Laul, he gives me biscuits and doesnt mind me being on the sofa with him! very comfy -
Miss you all but not so much that I want to come back! kisses to Lola - I am looking forward to her coming here tell her its ok!

A bit of bad news tonight, as Max returns from his home trial, and is now looking for a new home. Max had been doing really well, but started to misbehave and unfortunately the people couldn’t take the risk in their Bed and Breakfast

Max i dont know what to say sweetheart. This just shouldnt be, u had a perfect home, we thought. But its good to see you and lola back together, and i know and can see that that eases some of the pain u must be feeling. You's have missed each other, lola has really missed u and that's so obvious to see when you's are in the runs together. I hope to god that we find you love birds a forever home soon. In the meantime, as with all the dogs at SHAK and the rescue place, you will be cared for and loved and till your time comes.
