Jake's JournalWednesday 27 May....A walk with Harlie today and we both had a nice relaxing time walking across the fields around the kennels. I'm a nice quiet boy who gets on well with all of the other SHAK dogs, but would love a special home of my own. Jake |

Saturday and Sunday 6-7 June
What a busy weekend - rides in cars - people and dogs everywhere I really enjoyed it and made lots of new friends, but may have put on a few pounds with all of the treats that everyone had for me! Jake |

I know I'm just a quiet guy, so today has been brilliant! First of all, Frankie who looks after the kennels gave me a batha nd a groom, and then BIG Stephen took me for a walk.
I'm really not sure how I ended up here, and I wish I had my own home, but I know I am very lucky to be at SHAK.

Jake is such a big gentle lad - perfectly behaved on his walk today and enjoyed his treats and a few cuddles along the way. He's another boy who would settle into a nice home. |

Stephen took me out in the sun today, but it was so hot. He couldn't take any pictures, because I was panting, but he said I was still a lovely boy. We shared cuddles, I wish I had my own Stephen to cuddle me all the time.

A trip to the beach today with my friends - I had a quick paddle in the sea then back up the beach for some treats. It's so much fun to go out for the day!

Wow, what a day. I was a bit upset at first, as all the other SHAK dogs went out for a walk, and I was left behind. Then Stephen came for me and introduced me to a really nice family.
We went for a nice walk, and everyone took turns to hold the lead. Then I jumped into their car and went to their house. Thank you to everyone at SHAK who saved me and gave me this opportunity, and also to the girls at A1 who spent so long making me look so beautiful I could get a new home. In case everyone has forgotten, this is what I looked like before I came here.

Jake has had a very adventurus night at his new home looking through the kitchen cuboards to see what he can have 
he is still loved but think there is a need to sort the cuboards out (B&Q here we come for all your child locks Ha Ha) PS steve we see what you mean bout him and his biscuits

Jakey boy, ur just a big cuddly teddy bear. After my first walk with you, u were so good to me and eased me into the SHAK dogs so gently that Olly was a bit of a shock ! I dont understand how any of the dogs end up at SHAK, but i'm so glad u did, u now have the family u so deserve who will love u for u and i know will bring out ur playful side, but also bring out the gentleman we all know is in u. Behave big boy, mind ur manners, and you'll have everything ur heart desires ! Be happy Jake, xx |

I'm pleased to say that Jake is now officially adopted. His new family love him to bits, and they are even getting a new car just for him tomorrow. Even the family holiday has been slightly modified so he can go with them.
Well done big man, you deserve all the love, attention and grooming that you are now getting. |

Ooh Jake u lucky boy, u will love haggis its full of erm......goodness ! And I cant believe aunty sharon missed an opportunity with u to visit the vets! Thats normally the first place she takes all u new boys who arrive at shak ! Ur slipping there a bit Sharon lol Dont worry about ur op Jake, it'll be a load of ur mind so u can enjoy all the haggis next month, take care Jake, good to see u so happy and settled, xx

my family took me to see someone called the vet I was a very good boy for him BUT I think he has done something to me as I feel differant some how

I'm back from my holiday in scotland had a wonderful time, I was chasing haggis but never caught any as they are small and too fast for me, and have an advantage as I found out that they have two legs shorter than the other two for running around mountains. My family took me to many differant places like Fort William, Oban, and up through Glencoe. at on point I thought John was going to leave the rest of us as he had us all locked up in inverery jail but he asked the nice man to let us out again, not sure he wanted Bev out as he did pull a funny face. My family has some photos but can't work out how to put them into this so if some one can let them know I'll get thm to put them on so you can see how happy I now am.
