I really enjoyed my walk with Jake today. I wasn't feeling too well at the weekend, but so much better today. Going out for walks always helps and there are always treats in someone's pocket to encourage me along. I'm looking forward to Saturday's walk already.

Tuesday 9 June....
What a surprise a had today. I moved to a new kennel! - on the farm.
I have to say a big thankyou to everyone who looked after me at A1 Kennels, and before I left I made sure that I said goodbye to the gang - Becky, Lola, Max, Zeus and Jake. I enjoyed my walks with them all.
I think I saw a couple of familiar faces in a run at the farm as we were driving in - I'll have to investigate that later when I have settled in.
I hope I remembered to pack everything
I'm sure I will have lots of adventures here.

Had another nice day in the sunshine just watching the world go by. Had a nice surprise tonight, as Gregg my foster Daddy turned up to see me. We did some of the training we used to do.
Stephen said I look well, and that I may off put on a little weight. I like being retired

Hello all. Gregg turned up today, i didnt recognise him without his chav pants, but we did some training in the office and I learned to walk to heel a little bit and sit nicely a doors. I was a really good girl....I like this retirement lark........lady at lesiure.

Everyone tells me I look very well....I've put on some weight and I feel good. I get to watch the world go by and have nice big bones to chew. Aunty Sharon walked me on Saturday and she said I was a very good girl.....I love to stop and have a good sniff of everything as we pass along the way....this is the life even if I got very wet!!! That big handsome dog called Sam sniffed me ...he got drool all over my back.....the cheek of it!!!!

Wow, what a night. I love this retirement thing. The two Stephen's turned up tonight, and we took that handsome old guy Scooby out for a walk. It was great fun, as we swapped handlers. BIG Stephen walked Scooby for the first time, and Stephen walked me.
We went along the river, and had a great time leaping through the long grass. Scooby even wanted to play when we were doing it.
BIG Stephen says he is doing some "Great North Run" to help pay to keep me in my holiday villa, so Scooby and I offered to help him train. As long as there is long grass he'll never catch us.

I went out with my pal Scooby again tonight, and we had a great walk by the river. I love it down there, there is so many smells.
This is me with Stephen, he helped me a year ago, and he told me today that he was so pleased I had found the farm.

What a day, sunbathing all morning, and then Stephen came in the afternoon, and we wentin the "Hill field". He let me off the lead, and I ran around crazy. Just because I was pleased to be there. Look I was even a little bit too quick for the camera.

Harlie went for a walk with Miko today, and was an absolute angel. She is calm on her walks, so was perfect for Miko. Thank you girl x

Not been on for awhile, and i am absolutely delighted to see the new piccies of Harlie. How she has changed,!!!!! shes looking so full of life bless her. Im just sooo happy for her, its wonderful to see her enjoying her retirement. Bless you all for helping her.....and Harlie, your one special girl xxx

The results came back from Harlie’s blood and muscle tests this week, and I’m delighted to announce that on vets advice we are continuing to treat Harlie. She has lost a lot of her muscle, and has suffered a relapse once again. Her head has a lot of scar tissue instead of muscle so long term it is a battle we aren’t going to win, but in the meantime she is going live like a Queen. She has got brighter an d more alert this week, and it is great just seeing her enjoying the simple things like a walk again.

I've been volunteering for the charity since June, since i lost my own 2 dogs, and came home with Becky. Of all the dogs Harlie is one i've stayed clear of because of her reputation, for turning at the least notice, due to her unbearable condition. I got to know her from helping at the farm, though i was always very wary of her.
Since helping out at the resuce, I have to say Harlie is one of my favourites, she's such a beautiful girl and its so heartbreaking what has happened to her and what shes going through. But the last 10 days she has filled out so much and is so alert, walks more than the others now too ! She is so calm and relaxed and full of life, i walk her as often as i can. Today, and not just once but twice, she jumped up on the swing with me and sat by my side very happily and even gave me a kiss!! She nuzzles my ear and when i was cleaning out her kennel yesterday she came under my arm and gave me a loving nudge.
She is so sweet and affectionate and now seems to have a passion for life again. Stay with us beautiful girl, you deserve to be happy and loved, and you really are. Its a real shame ur family gave up on you, we never will, xxx God bless baby girl, we love you, xx

Like so many Rottie lovers Harlie stole many of our hearts away the first time we saw her.She deserves all the love in the world, which she obviously is getting now, I so hope she keeps improving, and carries on living her life full of fun. I just adore the photos of her rushing around like a loony lol Big hugs to you darling Harlie xxx

Ha ha fooking ha!!! I am weeing myself at that last pic, u did too didnt' u!! She is stunning, i was the one on the end of that lead, 2 months ago i would never have been. I know her reputation and i was wary, but i love her to bits now. She is so loving and now so strong and full of life, the pictures show it all.
You're a real fighter girl, and i promise i wont stare into ur eyes again, tho they are beautiful !! See u soon babe, xxx
