The people that adopted big Lennox, are trying to organise this..... What does everyone think?

Right where do I start....

I am trying to organise a Rottie weekend at our farm in Leicestershire towards the end of August to raise money for the Rottie Den Fund and SHAK rescue.

The idea is that it is open to all members of the Den, 2 legged and 4 with proceeds (less costs such as portaloos and BBQ food) being split between SHAK and the Den Fund. It would run from Saturday morning until Sunday morning (ish), and would include a BBQ on the saturday night, a full cooked breakfast could be provided for those that want it on the Sunday morning.

The Dogfather has kindly offered to hold a tracking seminar, and also do a demo with his Rotties. If anyone has any other skills that they would like to offer such as grooming advice, nutrition, showing, health issues etc then please let me know. I would like this weekend to be fun, entertaining, but also something that hopefully people can learn from and want to do again.

Also if anyone has anything rottie (or dog) related to sell, such as grooming equipment, prints, etc - or indeed anything that they think the Den members would like and are willing to make a donation to the funds then please let me know!

Basic camping facilities (cold running water and a portaloo!) can be provided from the Friday night until the Sunday morning, there are 2 secure paddocks for exercising the dogs, and miles and miles of countryside to explore for the fitter amongst you.

Hopefully other 'attractions' will be added later, but I am currently trying to organise a mini agility course purely for entertainment value.

Further info will be added as and when its available, but at the moment I am trying to judge whether this would be something that ppl were interested in attending or not before I go full steam ahead.
