We had to say goodbye to our lovely old girl Poppy on May 14th. She has been in my life for 16 years, and has left such a whole, that will never be filled.
Poppy was the perfect pet, she wasn’t phased by anything, and was great with people, cats, other dogs and children. She just got on with life, and did what dogs are supposed to. She was a tough old cookie too, surviving a couple of strokes, several fits and an attack by another dog. She had such a will to live, that she got through all of these and still just enjoyed being with her family. In the end old age and probably a tumour caught up with her, and our brave little sweetheart lost her last battle.
Ever since you entered our life as a little leggy stray puppy, you were perfect. Poppy we miss you so much already, and will always love you. Run free with Shak, Bruno, Roxy, Heidi, Roman and all your other woofy friends. X
