I wish people would start to see that the only good things to come out of Milan are AC & Inter.

Another article FYI, slightly more analytical than my previous posts but intersting just the same.

Id also like to point out that John Fisher, author of Think Dog, retracted his theory of Pack Rules and dominance in his last book "diary of a dotty dog doctor".

In this one please note the Dr. status of th bloke referring to learned helplessnes.  Anyone want an explanation of that please just ask.

This was just for info John and I dont think you would use methods like the alpha roll, electronic collar or hanging a dog.

As for his philosophy he can hardly take credit for realising that dogs need excercise can he!?! (rhetorical question)  Especially as part of this method is to tire the dog physically before starting "work" with them therefore the dog is more likely to shut down emotionally when he stresses them, something he calls "calm submission".

Of course the dog is calm and submissive but only because it is scared witless.  If someone had that power over you wouldnt you do everything to avoid the behaviour in the short term?

I must admit to ignorance here because I generally turn over when he starts kicking dogs, sorry "heel checks" them, but does Milan use treats, toys & fuss in his method?  If he does when, is it as the dog shuts down..sorry becomes "calmly submissive" cos if it is all he is reinforcing is the dog feeling stress and fear and guess what...the dog will associate that fear with everyone in the room at the time!!!

These posts are not aimed at anyone in particular (especially you John after some of our discussons) just aimed at making people think about the methods used and whether they are a benefit to the dog?

My views are well known, how about other people?
