Makes you wonder about there decision making process, fair enough the dogs may have been unhomeable but maybe questions about the qualifications of the RSPCA officer to make such a decision need to be asked! Are RSPCA officers trained in canine behaviour? Did they consider that the dogs may have been showing guarding behaviour in there own home? Did someone assess these dogs correctly on an individual basis or were they assessed on a group basis? were they even professionally assessed? The dogs may have been hungry and stressed having been left alone for an unspecified length of time? Anxious about the whereabouts of the human?
sad thing is the replies seem to be stock responses. If the RSPCA explained the reasons why they believed the bolt gun was more humane than a normal gun, or what they meant by aggressive it might help us understand. I assume that the RSPCA were aware that the questioner was from GSD rescue? If so it makes there replies all the more dissapointing and not a little bit arrogant.

Couldn't put it better myself. What gives anybody the right to make that decision? Problem is the public still plough millions into these big "charities" whilst smaller ones go round picking up the mess of the ones they haven't butchered. We live in a f*cked up society.
